Starting on September 30th for Gas Day October 1, 2010, PG&E's California Gas Transmission will be complying with FERC Orders 720 and 720A, which deal with the daily posting of specific information on CGT's Pipe Ranger Web site. For natural gas receipt and delivery points with a design capacity of 15,000 MMBtu per day or greater, CGT is required to post, among other data elements, meter design capacity, daily scheduled volumes, and the difference between the two numbers.
Noncore end-use customers who have a meter design capacity of 15,000 MMBtu per day or greater will therefore be reflected in the daily posting on Pipe Ranger. Customers are identified with a unique, randomly-assigned number that will not reveal the customer name or specific location. FERC also requires that we identify customers with some additional geographic reference. CGT is using county name as that identifier.
These daily postings are downloadable files. These files will remain posted for a year; therefore, the daily posted files will accumulate on the Pipe Ranger page until there is a year's worth of files, at which time, the oldest files will start dropping off. Although the requirement is to post the data file no later than 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, CGT's goal is to post the file, which includes Timely scheduled volumes, as soon as possible after 3:00 p.m. each day.
