NOx Project Limits Baja Path Capacity: June through August 2010

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

The Kettleman Compressor Station NOx work, as announced in a previous article This link will open in a new window, will begin again on June 1, 2010 and continue until August 30, 2010. In order to meet revised NOx emission requirements, Pacific Gas and Electric Company's California Gas Transmission will install Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems on two compressor units at the Kettleman compressor station. While this work is being performed, the Baja path capacity available will be 860 MMcf per day.

In the summer of 2009, an SCR system was successfully installed on Kettleman compressor
K-1. The experience with K-1 provides CGT confidence that the work to install SCR systems on both Kettleman K-2 and K-3 will be successfully completed as scheduled. CGT believes scheduling these outages during the summer months will have the least impact on our customers and the market. As maintenance schedules are subject to change, please stay tuned to the Pipe Ranger Pipeline Maintenance News page for further updates.
