Updated: McDonald Island storage injection has returned to normal.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company's California Gas Transmission has experienced an odorant system upset at the McDonald Island Storage Field. The resulting clean up is affecting the ability to withdraw and inject gas at McDonald Island. CGT is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, although the timing and impact of the clean up work has not been fully determined. CGT will continue to post the daily injection and withdrawal capacities for PG&E storage on the Pipe Ranger.

CGT expects its overall withdrawal capacity will be sufficient to fully meet the demand for withdrawal services; however, some demand for firm injection services may go unmet. Critical gas pipeline balancing services will have first priority to any available injection capacity. Any injection capacity not utilized for balancing services will first be made available for Firm Storage, then As-Available Storage and Parking and Lending services. CGT will work to minimize the inconvenience to our customers. Additional information, including expected duration will be provided as soon as it is available.
