Prior to the holidays, California Gas Transmission held three conference calls with customers (those who elected to participate) to discuss and get customers' perspectives on the confusion caused when a nomination is reduced between the confirm and schedule processes (the "SchedVol02" issue). During those conference calls, one area of discussion was around a possible short-term fix.

While short-term fixes were explored as an interim measure, they did not meet the consensus as "optimal" from our customers and did not move in the direction of a longer-term solution. Therefore, CGT has already embarked on a permanent, long-term fix that will correct this problem in INSIDEtracc. We are anticipating that this fix will be deployed by the end of March.

In the interim, we continue to ask customers to refrain from reducing nominations between the confirm process of a nomination cycle and the schedule process. We have seen a decrease in this activity and we hope that fewer such transactions is making life easier for you. Please remember that if you run into time constraints and would like assistance, CGT's Gas Schedulers would be happy to input a nomination reduction for you.
