California Gas Transmission (CGT) is aware that customers are experiencing difficulties interpreting their 110 Reports when a nomination decrease is submitted after the nomination deadline for a particular cycle.
When a nomination is reduced after the deadline for a gas cycle (e.g. after 9:30 a.m. Pacific time for the Timely cycle), but before the scheduled process has been completed for that cycle, the reduction is being processed immediately in the schedule process and showing up as a cut in the Timely 110 Report, with a "SchedVol02" cut code. This is causing confusion to others about the source of related gas cuts and in which cycle the nomination was reduced.
On a short-term basis, one way to avoid the confusion of this situation is to delay entering a decrease in a previously submitted nomination until after you receive your scheduled volumes for that particular nomination cycle.
For example, if, after you submitted a nomination for 10,000 Dth by the Timely nomination deadline and it was confirmed for 10,000 Dth, you desired to reduce that nomination to 8,000 Dth. If you wait until the Timely schedule process is complete and you have run your 110 Reports, then enter the reduction to the original nomination, the reduction will show up in the Evening cycle and the confusion about who was cut (and why) will be greatly reduced.
CGT is aware that this is not an optimal solution. We would love to have your feedback and your suggestions, so we are scheduling three conference calls next week to explore this short-term approach and other possible short-term solutions.
Monday, Dec. 15 - 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Pacific time.
Tuesday, Dec. 16 - 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 17 - 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
If you are interested in participating in one of these three calls, please RSVP by e-mailing or telephoning Cecilia Reed. Please RSVP as soon as possible with the date that works best for you. Contact your CGT Account Services Representative if you have any questions about the nomination decrease issue or the conference calls.
