Nomination Tips to Remember

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

California Gas Transmission would like to provide you with a few tips for using these nomination-related INSIDEtracc screens.

Query/Copy Unprocessed Nominations

When using the Query/Copy Unprocessed Nominations screen to copy a nomination, the package code is now blanked out along with the start and end dates and volume. You will need to re-enter the package code, if desired, when the nomination is copied. This is a change from how this screen has worked historically.

Volumes on the Nominations by Entity and Pool Balance Screens

The Nominations by Entity screen is available either from the main navigation, under Nominations, or by clicking the icon in the Pool Balance screen, under the Nominations, Query Pool Balance selection.

Volume Differences

Volumes shown in the Pool Balance screen reflect nominations submitted to the database at a specific point in time. These nominations are unprocessed nominations.

Counter-party nomination volumes will not be included in the volumes in the Nominations by Entity screen until the CGT Scheduling Team has completed their match process.

INSIDEtracc checks for new nominations every 7 to 10 minutes, and updates the Nominations by Entity screen accordingly. If all system nominations have not yet been matched, you may see inconsistent volumes between the Nominations by Entity screen and the Query Pool Balance screen.

Once the CGT Scheduling Team has completed their confirm process for INSIDEtracc nominations, changes can be made to a nomination volume to correct an imbalance or a nomination ranking (for a future cycle). This can easily be done by using the Edit Nomination icon from the Nominations by Entity screen. If the confirm process has not been completed, the volume and ranking fields will not be available for changes.

If you have any questions regarding these screens, please contact CGT's Gas Scheduling Team at 1.800.343.4743.
