Maintenance Reduces October Storage Injection Capacity

Monday, June 02, 2008

Pacific Gas and Electric Company's California Gas Transmission will conduct maintenance work at the Los Medanos storage field that will limit injection capacity for two separate time periods: October 15-17 and October 28-31, 2008. The table below shows the estimated reductions.

Date MMcf/d Reduction
10/15 19
10/16 64
10/17 40

10/28 112
10/29 112
10/30 112
10/31 112

CGT expects its withdrawal capacity will be sufficient to fully meet the demand for withdrawal services; some demand for firm injection services will likely go unmet. Critical gas pipeline balancing services will have first priority to any available injection capacity. Any injection capacity not utilized for balancing services will first be made available for Firm Storage, then As-Available Storage and Parking and Lending services. This necessary maintenance will be completed as soon as practicable to minimize inconvenience to customers.
