BOO! Halloween traditionally marks the arrival of the winter season. This is the time Pacific Gas and Electric Company's California Gas Transmission would like to remind customers to prepare for winter. Extreme cold temperatures can impact deliveries to customers even though our pipeline system is robust. CGT recommends taking some time to prepare for the upcoming winter season so you’ll be ready if extreme cold temperatures arrive.
The Getting Ready for Winter document offers readiness tips for winter, suggesting actions to prepare you for the possibility of an extreme cold weather event. This informational 11-page document outlines CGT's procedures for an Operational Flow Order (OFO), Emergency Flow Order (EFO), Involuntary Diversion, or Local Curtailment. All CGT customers, balancing agents, core procurement groups, and PG&E noncore end-use customers should be familiar with this information.
Pipe Ranger will always bring you timely news of any events that may impact CGT's pipeline system. Your CGT Account Services Representative is also available to answer your questions during the winter season.
