Make an Informed Commitment

Tuesday, February 01, 2005

California Gas Transmission announces today it will allow Extension and Open Season participants the opportunity to review the Gas Accord II -- 2004 decision prior to fully committing to 2004 Extension and Open Season contracts.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is hopeful the California Public Utilities Commission will issue a decision on its Gas Accord II -- 2004 Application on December 18, 2003, approving 2004 rates, terms of service, and the 2004 Extension and Open Season. With extension offers due tomorrow and Open Season Requests for Firm Service due December 19, CGT customers would be faced with little to no time to review the decision-defining 2004 rates-before committing to 2004 contracts. CGT announces the following new policy to alleviate this concern.

CGT will allow customers to withdraw their contract extensions and/or Open Season Requests for Firm Service by December 22, 2003. CGT must receive written notice via facsimile at 415.973.9247 by 5:00 p.m., Pacific time, in order for such withdrawals to be honored.

Extension offers and Open Season Requests for Firm Service remain due to CGT on the dates shown in Revised Timeline: December 5 and December 19, 2003.

The deadline for withdrawal assumes a CPUC decision on December 18. If this assumption proves false, Pipe Ranger will bring you updated information regarding 2004 contracts.

Please contact your CGT Representative if you have any questions.
