The days are getting longer, and the threat of extreme winter weather is fading.
California Gas Transmission announces Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Abnormal Peak Day (APD) window is now closed. This means the chances of an APD prior to next winter are very remote.
The closing of the APD window also means the end of Winter Wednesdays. California Gas Transmission appreciates your attention to Winter Wednesdays and your preparation for possible cold winter events.
In addition to Mother Nature's threats of cold weather, California's unresolved energy crisis has invoked the specter of diversions this winter. Fortunately, the California Public Utilities Commission recently took action, as detailed in the recent press release CPUC Adopts Version of PG&E's Gas Supply Proposal. Although the situation certainly remains fluid, Pacific Gas and Electric Company hopes this action will be sufficient to ensure continued supply to core customers without impacting noncore customers.
