Pacific Gas and Electric Company recently concluded an evaluation of its gas accounting for the period of March 1, 1998 through October 1, 1999. Results indicate that the tariffed shrinkage rates established in the 1998 BCAP are higher than the amount of shrinkage that has actually occurred.
Pacific Gas and Electric Company is currently studying options for the timing and method by which shrinkage rates may be adjusted. Pacific Gas and Electric Company is also considering whether and by what mechanism it may be appropriate to correct the over-collection. Watch Pipe Ranger for future updates.
