Report Energy Theft

Energy theft is costly in so many ways.
- Stealing energy is a crime.
- It's hazardous. Energy theft creates deadly fire and safety hazards that can kill or injure the energy thieves as well as their families, neighbors and utility employees. It can also cause costly property damage.
- It raises the energy bills of customers who pay their bills on time. You may not know it, but energy theft costs us all. As with any business, losses through theft add to our operating expenses. Energy costs are high enough without adding the expense of thievery.
Energy theft is something PG&E takes very seriously, but we need your help to curb this illegal activity. If you suspect or know of anyone stealing energy, please report it.
