About the Diablo Canyon lands
The Diablo Canyon lands are rich in cultural and ecological resources and have been managed through an award-winning land stewardship program. The Diablo Canyon lands are owned by PG&E and Eureka Energy (a subsidiary of PG&E)
- Over 12,000 acres of rugged terrain filled with steep inclines.
- A 14-mile stretch of pristine coastline.
- Virtually no development, other than the 750-acre power plant and ancillary facilities that the lands surround.
Diablo Canyon lands conservation
- Located in the Irish Hills region of San Luis Obispo County.
- The area has been the subject of significant conservation activity over the last two decades.
- Contains relatively undisturbed grasslands, coastal sage, oak woodlands and bishop pine forests.
- Managed by PG&E using innovative best practices and a strong land stewardship program.
