Find out if you have SmartAC technology in your home
To determine whether a SmartAC device is installed, examine your thermostat and central air conditioner (AC) unit. If your central AC unit is in an unsafe place for viewing, call PG&E at 1-866-908-4916.
Recognize the SmartAC switch
When examining your AC unit, look for a box that resembles the following photo.
The switch is typically installed on or near the outside components of your AC unit. If you recognize the SmartAC switch, call us to activate it.

Recognize the SmartAC thermostat
When examining your thermostat, look for a PG&E logo. If you already have a SmartAC thermostat, call us to activate it.

When examining your thermostat, look for a PG&E logo. If you already have an ExpressStat thermostat, call us to activate it.
