PG&E third-party programs offer a range of services to support the energy-efficiency efforts of residential customers. Each program is managed by an energy-efficiency implementation specialist selected by PG&E. A variety of programs help meet the unique needs of our diverse customer base.

HomeIntel offered by Home Energy Analytics

Home Energy Rewards offered by Franklin Energy

Reduce energy use across all categories. Start an energy efficiency journey and progress to deeper and deeper savings and benefits.

Free to start. Discounts on purchase and installation of energy efficient products. Earn points and rewards.

In-depth analysis of your home's energy use, customized recommendations and free energy savings kit (LEDs, water saving devices). Discounted energy efficient products. Can lead to full home energy retrofit including new heating and cooling equipment, insulation, new ducts, weather stripping and air sealing.

Contra Costa and San Joaquin Counties. Single family, lived in home at least one year, high energy user, no solar, no EV.

Green House Calls by Rising Sun Center for Opportunity, a nonprofit community based organization

Reduce energy use from lighting and appliances.

Free

Green House Calls which includes:


  • Walkthrough assessment and data collection
  • Measure installation
  • Customer education
  • Client summary report + Follow-up
  • Referrals to the Home Intel, Home Energy Optimization, Cool Savers or Home Energy Rewards programs if applicable

Services will be primarily focused on underserved/hard-to-reach PG&E customers in the Alameda and San Joaquin counties who have not been serviced at that address in the past five years.

Comfortable Home Rebates offered by Franklin Energy

Home maintenance and upgrade program focused on air conditioning efficiency and other home comfort upgrades.

Cost varies depending on measures selected, rebates from $585 to $3,500 depending on measures selected and CEC Climate Zone.

Heating, cooling, water heating, insulation, duct work, air sealing, lighting, and pool pumps.

PG&E customers using either electric or gas fuels. Rebates are pro-rated depending on which fuels the customer uses (no rebates for propane equipment). Customer residence must be single family or 2-4 unit structure.

Home Energy Optimization Program offered by ICF (On hold starting 01/01/2020 until further notice)

Reduce air conditioning and water-heating energy use through optimization of existing equipment.

$170 for $2,000 in products and services.

Includes smart thermostat, AC tune-up, AC and hot water monitoring and auto-optimization, lights, smart strip. Also includes monthly energy efficiency progress report.

Stockton to Bakersfield. Single family, lived in home at least one year, high energy user, no solar, no EV.
