To save money on your rate plan, shift some of your energy use away from peak hours.

  • On the 3 to 8 p.m. (ETOU-A) plan, prices are higher during peak times of 3 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. All other weekday hours are off-peak, as are weekends and most holidays.
  • On the 4 to 9 p.m. (ETOU-B) plan, prices are higher during peak times of 4 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. All other weekday hours are off-peak, as are weekends and most holidays.

Turn on your A/C in the morning and through lunch to pre-cool before the hottest hours.

Wash only full loads with cold water in the morning, later at night, or on the weekends.

Start your dishwasher right before you go to bed, and only when it's completely full.
