Get help lighting or turning off your gas pilot lights

PG&E gas service technicians are available to safely turn off or relight your appliance pilot lights. The service is available to any of our single-family or multifamily residence gas customers.

Making a pilot light appointment online is easy

Sign in to Your Account or choose one time access as a visitor

If you choose one time access, you’ll need to provide either your PG&E account number or your last name and ZIP code, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number.

Select the type of appliance that needs gas pilot light service

Under “Service Description,” select your appliance from the dropdown list. If you need pilot light service for more than one appliance, choose “Multiple Appliance Services.”


NOTE: If you need your gas turned on and pilot light relit after having your house fumigated, please call 1-800-743-5000 instead to schedule an appointment.

Select an appointment time and date

Someone 18 years or older will need to be at home for the appointment and you’ll need to provide their contact number.

Need to reschedule or cancel your pilot light appointment?


Sign in to Your Account and go to Manage Appointments. Select “Reschedule” or “Cancel” at the bottom of your Appointment Details and follow the steps.
