Breathing easier: HVAC tips for tenants
Improve the quality of your air and your space
Learn how the PG&E Commercial HVAC Quality Maintenance Program can benefit your business
Why HVAC systems are important
Unreliable or inefficient heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems can mean big problems for tenants. Thermal and air quality problems can result in higher energy costs, lower employee productivity and decreased customer satisfaction. Customers typically avoid shopping, dining or doing business when the environment inside is uncomfortable.
The PG&E Commercial HVAC Quality Maintenance Program
PG&E can help tenants who control HVAC systems and those who don't. Our Commercial HVAC Quality Maintenance Program is designed to help you spend less time worrying about HVAC and more time doing what you do best, that is, running your business. Learn more about the program. Download PGE’s Commercial HVAC Quality Maintenance Program (PDF, 191 KB).
Knowing when to talk to your building owner about HVAC
Talk with your building owner about HVAC to handle any interior climate control issues. Try starting the conversation about the benefits of maintaining the HVAC system and how this can reduce costs by up to 40 percent. Then, it may help to point out that PG&E offers up to $3,836 in incentives per HVAC unit to building owners and managers who implement a comprehensive three-year Commercial HVAC Quality Maintenance Program to help you upgrade and maintain your HVAC systems.
Paying the HVAC bill
Tenants with direct responsibility for their HVAC units may be eligible for rebates of up to $3,386 per unit from PG&E. Download PG&E’s Commercial HVAC Quality Maintenance Program (PDF, 191 KB). To learn more, ask your contractor, or find a participating contractor. Visit Participating Contractors.
