How the SmartAC program works

When your business joins the SmartAC program, PG&E will install a free SmartAC thermostat to help you manage your heating and cooling needs year round. If you have an energy management system in place, PG&E will install a free SmartAC “switch.” If there is an energy supply emergency, between May 1 and October 31, your SmartAC device will receive a signal to use slightly less power to help avoid power interruptions.
