Update to High BTU Situation
Friday, June 06, 2008
The BTU content of gas entering Pacific Gas and Electric Company's pipeline system from Malin remains higher than normal. Local curtailments in the northern Sacramento Valley area are needed to maintain gas quality standards. Noncore customers who are being curtailed will be notified. Marketers affected by this curtailment will be contacted by a California Gas Transmission representative.
PG&E is monitoring the system closely and will make any adjustments necessary to maintain pipeline integrity. The duration of the local curtailments is unknown at this time.
