High BTU Gas Causes Upstream Supply Reductions
Thursday, June 05, 2008
As reported in a Pipe Ranger article on May 29th, a maintenance outage at a facility located in Canada is causing high BTU gas in pipelines upstream of Pacific Gas and Electric Company. PG&E's California Gas Transmission has been notified that in order to maintain deliveries within acceptable pipeline BTU limits, upstream pipelines are reducing deliveries from Kingsgate to California effective with the Intraday 2 cycle for gas day June 5, and Evening cycle for gas day June 6, 2008. The duration of reduced Canadian gas deliveries to California is not known at this time.
CGT asks all of its customers to pay particularly close attention to balancing gas supply with usage in the coming days.
Further information will be posted on Pipe Ranger as it is available.
