Imbalance Statement Notice Included in April Mailing
Monday, April 14, 2008
March Cumulative Imbalance Statements mailed in April will include a notice announcing a change to future Imbalance Statement mailings. In response to numerous requests from end-use customers and natural gas supplier/balancing agents, effective in May 2008, PG&E will no longer mail natural gas Cumulative Monthly Imbalance Statements to end-use customers who are part of a gas supplier's Noncore Balancing Aggregation Agreement (NBAA). End-use customers that are supplied under a gas supplier's NBAA are not responsible to PG&E for any gas imbalances resulting from a difference between their supply and actual usage and, therefore, do not require these notifications. Gas supplier/balancing agents will continue to receive monthly statements.
End-use customers who are not part of a gas supplier's NBAA are financially responsible for their gas imbalances even though their gas supplier may trade these imbalances on their behalf. Therefore, end-use customers not part of a gas supplier's NBAA will continue to receive Cumulative Monthly Imbalance Statements.
