APD Window Closes
Thursday, Febuary 07, 2008
With the weather slowly warming as winter turns to spring, the likelihood of a system composite temperature below 29 degrees Fahrenheit is now negligible. Accordingly, California Gas Transmission (CGT) announces Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Abnormal Peak Day (APD) window is now closed.
What does this mean?
- The probability of an APD prior to next winter is nearly zero.
- The chances that Cold Winter Day (CWD) conditions will strike this winter are greatly reduced. Accordingly, local curtailments or diversions driven by cold weather are far less likely--although still possible.
Please contact your CGT Account Services Representatives if you have any questions.
