Costs of Baja Path Expansion Options
Tuesday, October 30, 2007
From time to time, PG&E's California Gas Transmission receives inquiries regarding the cost to expand the Baja Path. Below is a table showing various expansion options and the associated capital costs (estimates from March of 2007). Although CGT has no current Baja Path expansion plans, we believe others may find this information useful.
Baja Path Expansion Cost Estimates - March 2007
|Supply Location||Delivery Point||Expansion Volume MMcf/day||Cost ($ Millions)|
|Kern River Station||Milpitas||200||87|
|Kern River Station||Milpitas||400||196|
|* Arvin is the western most point where the Kern River/Mojave line is in close proximity with Line 300.|
The amounts above are Preliminary estimates. Costs could change subject to additional flow analysis, optimization of compression and pipeline size as well as changes in material and construction costs.
