New Questar Interconnect One Step Closer
Wednesday, May 15, 2002
Customers have heard about the new Questar Essex interconnect on California Gas Transmission's southern pipeline system. Here are some nomination procedures to follow and changes customers will see in INSIDEtracc effective May 15th relative to the Questar interconnect.
A customer planning to move gas from Questar's pipeline into CGT's pipeline system will require a new Transportation Service Agreement (TSA), received from Questar. The owner of the TSA must add the new agreement to INSIDEtracc. Once the Questar TSA numbers have been added to INSIDEtracc, nominations from the TSA, between pools, or to end-use customers are placed exactly as they are today. (For more information on pool-to-pool transactions, please see Pipe Ranger's Pool Table.)
Customers will notice the following INSIDEtracc system changes:
- The new interconnect code, QST, has been added. This code is shown in the "Rect Pt" and "Delv Pt" drop down lists in the Nominations screens.
- New pools for this interconnect have been entered for each customer, and can be seen in the Contracts screen (Navigate, Contracts, Contracts. Pools are shown under the GTSA selection). The new pools are designated with a QS at the beginning of the pool code, and either an R, F, N, or DD at the end of the code, depending on the type of pool (Receipt, Firm Delivery, Normal Delivery, or off-system).
Here are some tips to remember when placing nominations for this new interconnect:
- Questar will provide its shippers TSA contract numbers. The TSA owner must enter the TSA number into INSIDEtracc prior to placing nominations from that contract to CGT.
- Off-system nominations at the QST interconnect will require a downstream contract number when placing nominations in INSIDEtracc.
The targeted operational date for the Questar interconnect remains June 1. Watch Pipe Ranger for updates regarding this operational date. If you have any questions, please contact a CGT Scheduler at 1.800.343.4743.
