Approaching Cold Winter Day
Tuesday, January 29, 2002
Pacific Gas and Electric Company's California Gas Transmission expects system-wide temperatures to approach the Cold Winter Day (CWD) criteria today and tomorrow.
CWD is a statistical planning criteria that is used to ensure reliable gas service. The system weighted mean temperature for CWD is estimated to be 38 degrees Fahrenheit. For more detailed information, please review Getting Ready for Winter.
As a reminder, especially during such conditions, it is imperative that customers bring in supply to match their demand.
