Requirements and Technologies
- SmartAC technology is designed to work with central air conditioners or heat pumps in both residential and small business properties
- Anyone can participate regardless of whether you own or lease.
- Window units or through-wall units are not eligible. SmartAC technology cannot be installed on evaporative coolers and window or wall units
- Life support and medical baseline customers do not qualify to participate

Homeowners

Renters
- Program participation must be authorized by a property owner at the premise. Renters or lease holders may participate with the owner’s written approval.
- Ownership of the installed devices will vest with the property owner.
- As a condition of participating in this Program, customer and property owner must agree not to deface, remove or otherwise interfere with the device or its operation while the customer is enrolled in this Program.

- Must be a small- or medium-sized business with energy consumption under 200 kW
- All small and medium businesses can sign-up on line.
- Renters or lease holders may participate with the owner’s written approval unless tenant is authorized in the lease.
