California Advanced Homes Program

PG&E’s ENERGY STAR® New Homes Program is changing its name to California Advanced New Homes. We are working with California’s other investor-owned utilities to offer a single, statewide program for builders of energy-efficient new homes. Here is our new mission statement:

We’re here to help builders today for tomorrow’s environment.
California’s investor-owned utilities, Southern California Gas Company, Southern California Edison, San Diego Gas & Electric® and Pacific Gas and Electric Company are working together to help the building industry design and develop more environment-friendly communities.

Our California Advanced Homes Program highlights best practices in energy efficiency, green building and sustainability, and offers generous financial incentives to help builders and architects create environmentally friendly, energy-efficient communities for potential home buyers.

We will still offer incentives for builders who achieve the criteria to meet ENERGY STAR certification, as well as for other benchmarks of energy-efficiency. For program information, including an application and handbook, visit the statewide Web site at californiaadvancedhomes.com.
