Energy-Efficient Light Bulbs
Today there is an energy-efficient light bulb for every type of lighting application in your home. Substituting new energy-efficient light bulbs for older types is one of the easiest ways to reduce household energy consumption and save money.
Diffused, directional, and accent lighting are featured in this exhibit. The lamps on the left side are conventional incandescent bulbs, while the corresponding bulbs on the right are energy-efficient compact flouorescents or halogen lamps that provide an equivalent amount of light, use less energy and cost less over the lifetime of the bulb.
For more information about halogens and compact fluorescents take a look at the On-Line Resource Center fact sheets.
