Through two animated characters, THERM-A-LOT and WATT-A-LOT, children learn how they can save energy and conserve resources. If you're an educator in PG&E’s service territory, you qualify for this program of free materials, lesson plans and activities that meet California Content standards for K-8 grade.
PEAK is a standards-based education program that teaches the science of energy while empowering students to become Smart Energy Managers in their homes, schools, and communities. PEAK provides: professional development for educators; supplies for hands-on activities; an easy-to-follow, standards-based guidebook; assemblies, and fundraisers for your school – all at no cost to you! PEAK is available to 3rd-7th grade teachers in districts throughout California.
The PG&E Safe Kids Program provides teachers and students free educational materials on how to stay safe around natural gas and electricity. The materials adhere to national and state teaching standards for grades K - 8 and support a variety of learning styles. Individual and group learning activities, facilitated discussions, experiments, quizzes and interactive online games help to teach students important energy safety practices.
PG&E has partnered with Junior Achievement of Northern California (JA) since 1989. Junior Achievement is a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers—all working together to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential. JA's handson, experiential programs teach the key concepts of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy to young people all over the world.
PowerPathway’s vision is to offer a Portfolio of programs aimed at building capacity within the state of California to produce the skilled workers needed by PG&E and the energy and utility industry. This effort includes career preparation and education programs.
