SmartMeter™ Program Deployment
PG&E is deploying the SmartMeter program by PG&E local office. Each PG&E local office serves an area that includes multiple cities. Because field deployment of the SmartMeter system is dynamic, we can provide only start and end months for the PG&E local offices at this time. The start and end months listed for each city indicate when SmartMeter deployment will begin and end for the PG&E local office to which the city belongs. Actual deployment in the city will fall sometime within the range indicated for the majority of customers in the city. In some cases, deployment for a small number of customers may extend beyond the end month indicated.
Use the search feature to find your city. Type your city name and select the Search button. Your city name will be displayed, along with the PG&E local office to which it belongs and a deployment timeframe for the local office.
Please note: Some cities are served by more than one local office. The local office providing service for your location is listed on the first page of your energy statement, to the left under "Local Office Address". Your meter(s) will be upgraded in the timeframe indicated for your local office. In a few instances, we will deploy in a city independent of its local office. These cities are indicated with an asterisk. For these cities, the listed timeframe applies to the city, not the local office.
