Third Party Notification
If you care for a friend or relative who could overlook paying his or her PG&E bill because of illness, financial hardship or other issues, PG&E's Third-Party Notification can help. Under this program, PG&E will notify a designated third party when the person you're concerned about ever receives a late notice due to an unpaid PG&E bill. The designated person is not responsible for paying the bill, but might want to contact PG&E to help resolve the issue.
Third-Party Notification Service is available to all residential customers, with the consent of both parties.

Changes to PG&E’s Collections Practices
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is making changes to our collections, customer notification and disconnection practices to conform to the minimum timelines and processes authorized by the California Public Utilities Commission for the investor-owned utilities in a recent decision (D.12-03-054). The changes will be effective beginning April 1, 2013.

We understand these are difficult financial times and disconnection of service is an action that PG&E does not take lightly. It is taken only after all other alternatives have been explored. Please call us at 1-800-743-5000 if you are having trouble paying your bill.
