FERA Residential Single Family

You can apply for a monthly discount on your energy bill through the Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) program if your household meets the following requirements:

  • Enroll using My Energy. Log in, then click on the Pay & Manage tab and scroll down for the link to CARE/FERA Program Application.

Enroll By Mail

Download and print one of the following applications:

You can also have applications mailed to you by calling 1-800-743-5000 or e-mailing CAREandFERA@pge.com.

Recertify

You must recertify for the FERA program every two years.  Three months before your discount expires, you will receive a letter and recertification application from PG&E giving you the opportunity to reapply if you still qualify under the current program guidelines.

  • Recertify using My Energy. Log in, then click on the Pay & Manage tab and scroll down for the link to CARE/FERA Program Application.
  • or Recertify using our easy online form in English, Spanish and Chinese.

To recertify by mail, call 1-866-743-2273 or or e-mail CAREandFERA@pge.com to have an application mailed to you.

Cancel Enrollment

  • Cancel enrollment using My Energy. Log in, then click on the Pay & Manage tab and scroll down for the link to CARE/FERA Program Application.
  • Or cancel by using our easy online form in English.
