  Introduction

Welcome to our third issue of “ The PG&E Wire”, developed as a means to increase the level of communication between PG&E and our wireless customers. We hope that you find this newsletter a worthwhile addition to the information you receive through your regular contact with us.

  2004 Results

Business Development installed 95 sites for our customers in 2004 which represents a 46% increase in site builds from 2003. As of the end of the year, Business Development has installed a cumulative total of 650 sites. Thanks to all of you for making our wireless antenna program such a success!

  2005 Outlook

All indications so far this year show that 2005 will be exceptionally busy for our customers. We are and will continue to be fully staffed to support your needs. Be sure to turn in your PG&E forms sooner than later! Submittal of your Site Application Forms (SAF) to your Business Development representative, and applications for electric service to the appropriate local service planning office, will help to prevent any unwelcome surprises toward the end of the year.

  Project Manager Profile

This quarter we are featuring Kcammee Vreman, project manager in the Sacramento area. Kcammee has been an integral part of the project management team with Pacific Gas and Electric Company since 2000. Her wireless career started in 1996 when she worked for Nextel Communications as a Property Manager. She later became a Site Acquisition Specialist serving the greater Sacramento area prior to joining PG&E. Kcammee currently serves our telecommunication clients in the Northern Valley and is always looking to fill the next RF hole. A client once said, “Kcammee is the PG&E person to go to for coverage holes! If there isn’t a tower where you need one, she’ll install one herself personally!” As for Kcammee’s personal life, she currently lives on horse property in Shingle Springs where she enjoys her time off with her husband Gary, and their 4-year-old daughter Brie and 2-year-old son, Colby. (It was a pure coincidence on the names!) One finds quite the busy scene up at the Vreman house with two energetic dogs, two curious cats, and eleven noisy chickens. Kcammee’s favorite pastimes include preparing food from scratch with Brie, improving her garden with Colby, and simply relaxing in front of a TV and catching a movie with Gary. A not-so-known and interesting fact about Kcammee is that she lived on a fishing boat for most of her childhood with her parents being commercial fisherman. Next time you see her, ask her to share a fisherman’s tale or two.

  Process Improvement Initiative

One of our key initiatives in 2005 is to take a look at our processes and find ways to gain efficiencies. The goal is to help our customers reduce site installation costs. Some of the areas we are focusing in on are pre-installation and maintenance practices. You should be seeing the benefits of our efforts throughout this year. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the way we do business with you, please send your ideas to Nikki Herrmann at nch1@pge.com or 415-973-0208.

  Website Re-design

Our website re-design is complete! Our new site at www.pge.com/telecommunications features the ability to download forms, guidelines, and our marketing brochure. In addition, the website provides links to our newsletters, annual report, the tower locator tool (www.pge.com/towerlocator); and a list of department contacts. We hope that the new site will provide an easier and faster way for you to get the information you need.
