Hunters Point Power Plant Closure and Cleanup
Air Monitoring and Controls
In an effort to protect the community and site workers, PG&E has had a comprehensive dust control and air monitoring program in place through each phase of field work activities.
The program has met or exceeded all federal, state and local regulatory requirements for monitoring and mitigating airborne dust. All air monitoring results are reported to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), the lead agency overseeing the cleanup, and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD).
Recent air monitoring results submitted to the agencies are available in the document archive.
A summary of air monitoring results is sent to the Project Advisory Committee and interested parties on a weekly basis. These weekly updates are also available in the archive. If you would like to receive the weekly project updates, please use the contact information on the right side of this page and request to be added to the email distribution and or mailing list.
You can also access a wide variety of reports on the DTSC online repository of information related to the cleanup called Envirostor. Clicking on the “Activities” tab will take you to a collection of technical documents, including air monitoring reports.
