Hunters Point Power Plant Closure and Cleanup

Community Involvement

Members of the community are encouraged to become involved in the Hunters Point cleanup process.Community members are encouraged to attend quarterly meetings with the Hunters Point Site Project Advisory Committee. The committee helps address community issues and the project team helps to increase the community’s understanding of site activities. The committee is made up of community leaders, labor, elected officials, clergy members, local residents, community based organizations, environmental justice groups, City staff and local businesses.

Committee members can receive regular e-mail updates, phone calls, and are invited to attend project in-person meetings.

All members of the community can also contact the project team via the contact information listed on the right hand side of this page.

In addition, DTSC has an extensive public participation process, including a website with all relevant project documents, the Envirostor. You can also contact DTSC Project Manager Janet Naito at (510) 540-3833 or by email.
