As part of the Solar Schools Program, PG&E offers a free one-day solar energy training course to teachers throughout northern and central California.

Who is eligible to attend PG&E Solar Schools teacher training workshops?

All K-12 public school teachers in PG&E's service area are invited to attend our one-day workshops taught by instructors from the National Energy Education Development Project.

How much does it cost?

The teacher training session is FREE. Teachers are provided with a substitute stipend, lunch, and valuable networking time.

Why should a teacher attend?

The Solar Schools curriculum is tied closely to California state standards. The PG&E Solar Schools curriculum makes math, science and English fun for students. Workshop participants receive the instruction and materials to implement innovative hands-on energy units in their classrooms.

Workshop Schedule

The National Energy Development Project (NEED), PG&E's non-profit partner, provides individualized instruction and support for teachers who desire to provide innovative classroom energy.
