Low–wattage T8 Lighting Rebate Program

Effective June 1, 2009 rebates for Low-Wattage T8 lamps moved to the Energy Efficiency Rebates for Your Business Lighting Catalog (PDF, 529 KB). The rebates amounts remain the same: $1.00 per qualified 28W lamp and $1.50 per qualified 25W lamp, and will be paid directly to the customer. Qualifying lamps must be purchased and installed on or after June 1, 2009. Please see program details for further information. See a list of qualifying lamps.
Maximum Energy Savings
Save up to 20% of energy costs by replacing 32 watt T8s with low-wattage T8s (LWT8). For more information see the technical brief.
Simple replacement for existing T8 lamps
Low-wattage T8s fit in place of your existing four foot T8 lamps. Customers with 32 watt T8s and Instant Start ballasts can start saving energy immediately.
Greater Energy Saving for existing T12 Fluorescent Systems
The energy saving are even greater for conversion from a T12 fluorescent system. Be aware that the conversation from a T12 fluorescent system to any type of T8 system will also require the installation of new electronic ballasts. These retrofit options offer similar lumen output and energy saving of up to 47% for a typical 2 lamps 34 Watt T12s with a magnetic ballast.
Low wattage lamp rebate can be combined with the T12 to T8 4-ft lamp retrofit measure (L1019) for an additional $5.50 per lamp installed.
