eRebates allows customers to apply electronically for the residential and business rebates offered through "Energy Efficiency Rebates for Your Business” and “Energy Efficiency Rebates for Your Home".

Applying for eRebates is fast and efficient. Your account number automatically directs you to the appropriate application–business or residential-and you can follow the step-by-step instructions to complete the application.

After you submit your electronic application and required documentation for the appropriate program, eRebates offers the ability for you to log back in and check the status of your rebate application(s) online.

How to Apply for eRebates

1. Sign up or login to My Account.
2. Complete the eRebate application online.
3. Print and mail or fax the eRebate confirmation page along with the required documentation (e.g., proof of purchase information, etc.) to PG&E’s Integrated Processing Center (IPC):

• Why do I have to enroll in My Account to submit an eRebate application?
  Enrolling in My Account protects your PG&E account information.
• Where do I find eRebates on the My Account page?
  To access eRebates, please select “Energy Efficiency Rebates” on the left navigation bar.
• When will I receive my rebate check?
  Rebate checks are generally mailed six to eight weeks after PG&E receives a completed, signed application and all required documentation (e.g., proof of purchase documentation, etc.). If your application is incomplete or is selected for verification purposes, additional processing time will be required. Rebate applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted.
• How do I check the status of my rebate application?
  On the My Account page, select “Energy Efficiency Rebates” from the left navigation bar, then select “Check Rebate Status”.
• I filled out a paper application can I check the status of my application online?
  Customers who submit paper-only applications can also use eRebates to check the status of their rebate applications.
• Can a customer apply for eRebates without having to go to paperless billing (signing up for e-Bills)?
  Yes, customers can use eRebates regardless of whether they opt for paperless billing. They must, however, sign up for My Account.
  
• How do I know if I'm eligible for a rebate?
   •  As of January 1, 2010, PG&E is operating under the 2010-2012 Energy Efficiency Portfolio approved by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).
  
   •  Customers are eligible to receive rebates if they are a PG&E electric and/or gas customer as defined on the ”Energy Efficiency Rebates for Your Business” or “Energy Efficiency for Your Home” Rebate Application. Additionally, the product items must meet the specifications as defined within the Rebate Catalog(s) associated with the rebate offerings for each customer type.

   •  Product type, model number, customer location, the commodity (gas or electric) you receive from PG&E, and the time you purchased and installed the energy efficient products are verified by PG&E to ensure eligibility.
  
   •  Program dates, offerings and rebate amounts may be modified or terminated without prior notice and payments are subject to the availability of program funding.

• How do I apply for eRebates for multiple locations with the same account number?
  Currently, eRebates only accepts applications for a single-account, single-location service address.
• Why do I have to print and mail or fax a copy of my eRebate confirmation page to PG&E?
  PG&E needs to have required documentation on the installation of the energy efficient equipment in order process the eRebate application. Mailing or faxing the confirmation page allows PG&E to match the required documentation (e.g., proof of purchase documentation, etc.) with the application on file.
