Incentives for Existing Facilities
Save energy and money with PG&E’s customized financial incentives for energy-efficiency projects or projects with a demand response component—for existing facilities.
Examples of measures that may be eligible for customized incentives include:

- Efficient Boilers
- Efficient Chillers
- Efficient Computer Equipment
- Efficient Fans
- Efficient Lighting
- Efficient Motors
- Efficient Pool Heaters
- Reflective Window Film
- Vending Machine Controller
- Virtualization
Total incentive payments are based on actual reduction in energy usage. Customers and/or their consultants may sponsor projects under this approach. Be sure to contact PG&E early in the process and before you start your project, so that we can help you identify the appropriate application forms, confirm your eligibility, offer advice on the technical aspects of your application, generally, and walk you through the process.

To be eligible for an incentive:
- You must submit a project application.
- PG&E must inspect and approve the project prior to the removal of the existing equipment/systems and the installation of new equipment/systems.
- PG&E finalizes the incentive amounts after completing project approval. The actual incentive amount may vary from the submitted amount.
How To Apply for an Incentive
- You must be a PG&E customer and pay the Public Goods Charge on your electric and/or natural gas bill
- Download the appropriate application and forms
- Contact your PG&E representative or the Business Customer Service Center at 800-468-4743. We encourage you to contact PG&E before submitting your application and other required documentation.
- Complete the application. Make sure you review the Program Terms and Conditions on the back page of the application and the project form(s) that apply to your project.
- Sign your application:
- Agreement on the application
- Payment Release Authorization (if payment is to be paid to someone other than the applicant)
- Project information and any calculations required by the project form
- Submit all required information:
- Application
- Appropriate project forms
- All required documentation for your project
