Advanced Lighting Technology Program
The PG&E Federal Advanced Lighting Technology Program brings together a collaboration of federal agencies and private market entities to facilitate federal government participation in our Customer Energy Efficiency and Demand Response programs.
The goal of the pilot program is to achieve 3MW in savings by targeting approximately 3 million square feet of building space. We are promoting the installation of state-of-the-art and emerging technologies in highly efficient, dynamic lighting systems equipment and controls.
Benefits
The U.S. Government is the largest user of electricity in the nation. In addition to earning utility incentives, PG&Es Federal Advanced Lighting Technology Program can help the federal market customer segment achieve mandated U.S. energy savings goals. The program will produce valuable data on:
- Energy and demand savings
- Occupant comfort
- Customer satisfaction
- Effective facility management
More importantly, participating in the program will result in federal buildings that are highly efficient and dynamically responsive to a variable electricity market environment.
How to Participate
The program will award incentives based on the specific lighting and controls technologies implemented to achieve energy savings. The program team will work with our federal customers to achieve the greatest possible energy savings in all cases.
