Savings by Design (Customized New Construction)

Savings by Design is a statewide program that encourages high-performance new building design and construction for commercial buildings exceeding California's Title 24 energy-efficiency standards by 10 percent or more. The program offers building owners and their design teams a wide range of services such as Design Assistance; Design Team Incentives; and Owner Incentives.

Customized Retrofit Incentives

The Customized Retrofit Incentives program (formerly Non-Residential Retrofit [NRR]) offers cash incentive payments for business energy-efficiency projects that involve the installation of new, high-efficiency equipment or systems. Eligible projects can involve retrofitting existing equipment or installing new equipment associated with increased load. This program is open to projects in our commercial, industrial and agricultural industries.
