Fresno Energy Savings Alliance

For a limited time, the City of Fresno, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, and Richard Heath and Associates, Inc. (RHA) are joining forces to deliver an energy-efficiency program designed specifically for residents and businesses located in Fresno’s Enterprise Zone (PDF, 111 KB).

Through the Fresno Energy Savings Alliance (PDF, 303 KB), eligible residents and business owners can reduce their energy usage and expenses using the unique program elements listed below.

Residential Services

Single-Family and Multi-Family Home Direct Install Program

Energy-efficiency experts will canvass neighborhoods and identify single- and multi-family homes that qualify for the installation of a variety of free ENERGY STAR® measures such as compact fluorescent lamps, interior and exterior hardwired fluorescent lighting fixtures, programmable thermostats, water faucet aerators and low-flow showerheads. Residents with single-family homes can also receive a free energy analysis to help identify how they are using energy and ways to save. Special emphasis will be placed on working with moderate-income customers, California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) participants and senior citizens. Business Services

Small and Medium-Sized Business Direct Install Program

Energy-efficiency experts will contact small- and medium-sized businesses, offer to perform free energy audits to help businesses identify energy-saving opportunities and provide information regarding energy-efficient equipment. Energy-Efficiency Services and Incentives for Municipal Buildings

Technical consultants will survey major energy-consuming systems within city facilities to identify potential energy-saving opportunities. Financial incentives may be available to help support the investment in energy-efficiency upgrades at select municipal facilities. For more information, please call PG&E at 1 (559) 263-5534.

Codes and Standards Support

PG&E will provide Title 24 training and educational seminars related to energy codes and standards for existing and future building designs. These courses are targeted to designers, engineers, architects and building officials in Fresno.

Education and Information Services

PG&E will provide energy clinics and classes designed specifically for residents and businesses located in Fresno’s Enterprise Zone. Through these free training opportunities, residential and business customers can receive suggestions for reducing their energy bills and operating more energy efficiently. Eligibility and Program Dates

The Fresno Energy Savings Alliance is available to residents and businesses located in Fresno’s Enterprise Zone. Program elements are offered on a first-come, first-served basis until December 31, 2005, or until program funds are spent, whichever comes first. This program is funded by California utility customers and administered by Pacific Gas and Electric Company in collaboration with the City of Fresno and under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
