Learning Units for Our Classes
Some educational programs qualify for AIA continuing education units with Health, Safety, Welfare (HSW) credit and/or for NCQLP lighting education units (for recertification of Lighting Certification status). Check the individual class registration page or the list of classes for the number of AIA and NCQLP units. On the individual class registration page, AIA units that qualify as HSW have "(HSW)" after the number of units.
We provide an AIA sign-up sheet for classes that qualify and report attendance directly to the AIA. We also provide certificates furnished by NCQLP for LC Recertification for each class that qualifies. Students self-report units to the NCQLP. We also provide certificates for all students at every class that can be used to track continued education. These units are self-reported. An example is AEE that requires Certified Energy Managers (CEM) to earn units toward recertification and then self-report.
AIA/NCQLP Education Credit for Online Classes
For simulcast classes that qualify for NCQLP units, participants will receive those units if they attend in person or via the web.
Due to specific AIA requirements for awarding learning units for online classes, the online classes offered by the Pacific Energy Center and the Energy Training Center, Stockton do not qualify for AIA learning units. If a class is simulcast and you want AIA credit for attending that class, you must attend the class in person.
