Below are the names of biodegradable food service products we located in researching possibilities for use at the Energy Center. We wanted to share this information with other companies and individuals interested in starting a composting program.

The list is not intended to be an endorsement of specific brands, nor is it a comprehensive list of available products. In fact, it may not include all products available from each listed distributor. Most of the products are made primarily from renewable, plant-based materials, and can be shipped to your facility. Because any pure paper product with wax or no coating is biodegradable, most grocery stores and other food service suppliers carry some biodegradable products. Additionally, bioplastic products are being carried by progressively more stores in the Bay Area.
