DescriptionThe California Advanced Homes Program (CAHP) is the new residential new construction energy efficiency program that lines up with the 2008 energy code. Learn how you can take advantage of this program to increase sales and provide your buyers with a comfortable home that costs them less to heat and cool. Learn how to be accepted into the program, how to sell the benefits of a California Advanced Home, and how to collect your incentive dollars. Learn how to combine this program with the California Energy Commission’s New Solar Homes Program and have even more options to offer your buyers.

Brian Silverthorn of PG&E has worked as a field representative in the appliance efficiency and Residential New Construction programs since 1991. In addition to helping appliance sales outlets, HVAC contractors, and single-family and multi-family builders benefit from the programs, he conducts sales training for program participants to help them incorporate energy efficiency into their sales processes.
