Pacific Gas and Electric Company Terminates Alert at Diablo Canyon Power Plant

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – At 5:15 PM, Pacific Gas and Electric Company terminated an alert at Diablo Canyon Power Plant. The alert was declared this morning due to a buildup of carbon dioxide during a planned test of a fire suppression system.
The utility, with support from Cal Fire, ventilated the Unit 1 main lube oil room to reduce the carbon dioxide discharge to habitable levels.

Units 1 and 2 are currently operating at 100 percent power.
