PG&E can help you anticipate, understand and complete the technical requirements associated with getting new or upgraded energy service. This page is designed for customers planning to do the following:
- Expand or renovate your existing business facility or agriculture property
- Start service at a new facility or agriculture property
- Relocate a gas or electric line
- Change your existing service
- Procure temporary power for an agriculture or commercial/industrial construction project

Agriculture Customers
Agriculture customers will need to provide an electric rate when applying for service.
Review Agriculture rate plans
For help determining the best rate, refer to the What If Tool. All customers who meet the definition of 'Qualification for Agriculture Rates' are required to receive electric service on an agriculture rate. Agriculture customers may also call the PG&E Agriculture Customer Service Center at 1-877-311-3276 for more information on selecting rates.

Business Customers
Business customers will be placed on the A-1 rate by default when applying for service but may request a different rate plan.

Ready to Apply?
You can apply online with PG&E Connect for new service, changes in existing service or temporary power. A PG&E representative will contact you within three business days to discuss your project and any materials we need in order to complete your application. At that time your representative will determine if an engineering advance is required for your project.
