Compliance With FERC Order 890

The steering team for the Canada to Northern California WECC Regional Planning project fully intends to ensure that the project satisfies FERC Order 890 transmission planning requirements. As the project is still in the early stages of analysis and planning, the transmission service provider(s) and corresponding planning processes for the project have not yet been identified. Nonetheless, the planning process for this project is following the principles set forth in FERC Order 890. Not only is the project a part of the open forum of the WECC Regional Planning process, but non-WECC members and other regional planning groups have been invited to and are welcome to participate, and many have done so. Parties who would like additional information regarding how Order 890 requirements will be met for the project should contact the Project Manager at WECCProcessInfo@pge.com.
