It has recently come to our attention that this submission was never distributed to the WECC Planning Coordination Committee (PCC) or Technical Studies Subcommittee (TSS) for review. On September 22, 2008, PG&E resubmitted the report to WECC. WECC has committed to distributing the report for review by PCC and TSS. This unfortunate delay in distributing the Regional Planning Report should not affect the overall project development timeline nor the WECC Phase 1 Rating process and schedule for completing and submitting the Phase 1 Rating Report.
- 7-18-2008Thanks to all those who attended the WECC Phase 1 Coordinated Planning and Technical Studies Stakeholder meeting, held in Porland, Oregon on July 18, 2008. Please download the presentation slides below:
July 18, 2008 Stakeholder Meeting (PPT, 5.1 MB). - 6-16-2008We are pleased to announce that the Project Sponsors participated in a WECC Phase 1 Coordinated Planning and Technical Studies Stakeholder meeting on July 18, 2008 in Portland Oregon (Please see the meeting announcement (PDF, 178 KB)). At the meeting we, along with the sponsors of several projects being planned in the Northwest, provided updates regarding the coordinated work group study progress completed to date. In addition, each project sponsor provided a brief progress update and next steps report for each of the projects. The meeting was held in Portland, Oregon, at the airport Embassy Suites from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
- 2-22-2008The Project continues to move forward on schedule. Work is underway to complete the WECC Phase 1 Rating Studies by August, 2008. As a result of the January 24, 2008 Coordination meeting (see update below) a Technical Studies Coordination Group has been formed, technical data has been exchanged, and studies have begun.
There have been some recent changes to the Project Steering team. We are pleased to announce that Portland General Electric has joined the Steering team. Sierra Pacific Power (SPP) and the Transmission Agency of Northern California (TANC) have announced that they will no longer be part of the project Steering Team. The Project Sponsors thank them for their participation.
These changes to the Steering team membership are related to the continuing refinement of the Project Plan of Service. As shown in the {WECC Phase 1 Initiation letter}, the proposed conceptual plan for the WECC Phase 1 Rating Process is west of the original conception for the project as proposed in August, 2006. The WECC Phase 1 conceptual plan is consistent with the current Steering Team members’ service footprints. - 1-24-2008The presentation slides and agenda for the January 24, 2008 coordination meeting in Portland can be accessed through the links below:
